Swanage & Wareham’s latest game was away at top of the table Devizes. It was not a very good start for Swans as after only 2 minutes Devizes bundled their way over for a converted try. Swans rallied and the game was open, with both sides playing along the three-quarters, but after 20 minutes a move by Devizes backs the hosts managed a second converted try.(14pts – nil). From the restart Swans prop forward Nick Audley broke clear but was tackled under the posts .With 10 minutes to the break Swans were guilty of missing a couple of tackles and Devizes went in for their third converted try.21pts –nil. A break by Swans took them close to the Devizes line and from a quick move flank forward Matt Roberts scored in the corner. Right on the half time whistle another move by Swans had the other loose forward Robert Elford diving over the line. Steve Woolley added the extras Half Time score Devizes 21pts Swans 12pts.

Although both sides played an open game, the defences were dominant and it was not until the 65 minute when a Devizes centre burst through from half way to score a try under the posts(28pts -12pts).Swans went back into the Devizes 22 and put more pressure on the hosts defence and prop forward Zack Wyburgh scored close to the posts.Steve Woolley converted to leave the final score Devizes 28pts Swanage & Wareham 19pts.
