The Swans First XV is the clubs flagship side participating in Tribute Southern Counties South (Level 7), but has aspirations to compete at a higher level, having previously played at Level 5 of the national league structure, during which time the club often successfully battled in cup competitions with sides from the National leagues.

In Season 2021 / 22 the playing record of the 1st XV varied according to the availabilities of players. This last season saw the introduction of some excellent youngsters coming up from the Colts XV, which bodes well for the future
The season finished with the team playing 22 games winning 11, drawing 1 and losing 10. Points for 460, points against 483, finishing in 5th of 12 teams in the league.

Its home record was Won 6, Drawn 1, and lost 4. Points for 254 Points against 244.

The away record was Won 5, and lost 6. Points for 206, Points against 239.

The club’s success has been built on the development of its own talent, through an impressive youth structure, which facilitates the extension of an outstanding team spirit and unbreakable club bond, ensuring the side is competitive whoever the opposition. New players are immediately welcomed into the squad and regularly comment about how quickly they embrace the club spirit and become proud of its ethos.

Whilst the senior squad is competitive and highly ambitious on the field, we also deeply enjoy the social element of rugby and are innately connected to the whole of the club. No individual is more important than the club.

The side trains together with the whole of the senior section (One Club) throughout the 

season on Tuesday evenings at 7.00pm and on most Thursdays. The club is committed to giving every player the opportunity to reach their potential through high quality inclusive coaching.
