With a mixture of experienced players from all senior XVs and a sprinkling of up and coming youngsters, the 3rd XV is a team that is open for everyone of all abilities. 

The 3rd XV play hard with winning every game a priority, but win or lose the 3rd XV always have a fun time every Saturday they play. All new players welcome to training on Tuesdays 19.00 to 21.00.

In season 2021 /22 Swanage and Wareham were one of a few clubs in Dorset and Wiltshire that managed to field a regular 3rd XV. With a determined core of older players, with a never say die attitude, who often found themselves playing against younger and fitter 1st XV's in the same league, the scoreline was always one of lots to the opposition!

The season finished with the team playing 13 games winning 2, and losing 11.

Points for 253, points against 607, finishing in 8th of 9 teams in the league.

Its home record was Won 2, lost 4. Points for 144 Points against 264.

The away record was Won 0, and lost 7. Points for 109, Points against 343.
