Swans 2nd XV has an excellent mix of experienced ex 1st XV players along with and aiding the development of, some exciting young talent.

Managed by Tom Dillon, the 2nd XV have their own dedicated coach in Chris Curtis who will be with the team for every game, something else which will help with improving the youngsters in the team. As a feeder team for the 1st XV all tactics and style of play mirrors that of the 1st XV, allowing a seamless transition of players between both teams.

In Season 2021 / 22 the playing record of the 2nd XV suffered from players moving up to the 1st XV on a regular basis.
The season finished with the team playing 19 games winning 7, and losing 12.

Points for 427, points against 540, finishing in 7th of 12 teams in the league.

Its home record was Won 4 and lost 7. Points for 233 Points against 303.

The away record was Won 3, and lost 5. Points for 204, Points against 237

. 

Training for the 2nd XV is the same for the rest of the Senior teams in the Club, 19.00 to 21.00 Tuesday evenings. All players, no matter how inexperienced, are welcome to any training session.
