Swans started well, and a kick ahead took them into the Oaks 22, and from a catch/drive move Conor Moag dived over the line to put Swans 5pts in front after only two minutes. It did not take Oaks long to respond, a penalty took them into Swans 22 and after a few phases Meth Trim went over the whitewash under the posts.McRichy added the extras. (5pts – 7pts) after 12 minutes. Oaks seemed to be on top and after 28 minutes a move down the right wing had Tom Brown going in at the corner.(5pts – 12pts). Just before the interval with Oaks driving down the left, from a maul Ryce Gosling went in for a try in the corner. Half Time Swans 5pts Oaks 17pts.
It was a much improved performance by Swans in the second half putting some pressure on Oaks and tackling well when Oaks had the ball. From a move down the right Swans thought had a try but the from a judged it was held up. However from a scrum the ball came back to Conor Moag who went in for his second try after 65 minutes making the score Swans 10pts Oakmeadians 17pts. There was no further score.
