This was a game of two halves with Yeovil having the first half with Swans coming

back in the second half, and at the end could have secured a win.

It was even for the first ten minutes, but Swans gave away a penalty, which was converted.

Six minutes later, they broke through to score in the corner, Swans looked like they had not played a game(which they hadn’t) and made several mistakes.On 22 minutes Yeovil scored another converted try taking them 15pts ahead. It was all Yeovil, but Swans held them until they gave away another try just before half time, leaving the score at the break, Yeovil 22pts Swans nil.

It got worse for Swans early in the second half as from the kick off Swans were intercepted by a Yeovil winger and he scored in the corner.(27pts – nil). Swans brought on their reserve front row of Chris Peters,Jack Daniels, and Jack Jenner, and it seemed to make a difference. On 45minutes they pushed the Yeovil pack backwards and fly half Will Slack went over for Swans first try. Five minutes later Swans had a scrum on Yeovil’s five metres line and scrum half Chris Tomes went over. Steve Woolley converted(27pts-12pts.) Ten minutes later Yeovil intercepted a Swans pass on the hosts 22 and sped for a try under the posts(34pts – 12pts). Swans added a third try following a penalty by wing forward Ben Dennett to take Swans score to 17pts, before winger Harry Spyers picked the ball up in his own half, raced along the wing to touch down under the posts. Woolley converted(34pts – 24pts). Two minutes from the end from a scrum in the Yeovil 5 metres line Swans no.8 James Casey powered over the line in the corner.(34pts – 29pts). Swans had a chance to win the game in the last minute but Yeovil repelled the effort.
